POP stands for Post Office Protocol
which is a method used in some email software (clients) for downloading email
messages from another computer (typically on the Internet).
Using a POP compatible email program, such as Microsoft Outlook, Netscape
Communicator or Eudora, you can download your email messages so that they
can be read off-line, that is; when your computer is not connected to the
network.

Keep or Save Messages on the server?
When setting up your POP access in your email software, you will be asked if you would like to keep/save a copy of the messages on the server/host.
Select KEEP - in order to leave a copy of the messages in your web-based email box, and be able to access them anytime from any computer. Select DON'T KEEP - in order to download the messages WITHOUT leaving a copy in your web-based email box. This option will help you save space and keep you from running out of storage space on your ZZN account.
